And then... I looked at my grandma and said, “Wow!” This carpet was so cool. I had never seen anything like it. “I told you it was special,” she replied. Now that you know about this, you can’t tell anyone. This carpet is very dangerous, so you can’t use it. “Why not,” I asked. “This carpet was a very cool thing when I was your age but then it was cursed an evil witch,” Grandma said. She seemed upset so I did not ask her any questions. She made me promise her that I wouldnot go back into the attic and leave the carpet there. Every single day since I saw that carpet, that is the only thing I could think about. I wanted to go back into the attic and use it. What’s the worst that could happen? Later that week, I went back to my Grandma’s house and went to the attic. She was sleeping so I thought that a couple minutes on the carpet wouldn’t hurt. I grabbed the carpet out of the corner and unrolled it, then I sat on it and it started to float. I didn’t want to go anywhere so I just sat there and then, the carpet took off like it had a mind of its own. The carpet started flying towards a small window in the attic and I thought it was not going to stop so I tucked my head into my knees and hoped that it would stop. The carpet stopped and I opened my eyes, I was in so much shock I didn’t know what to do. I was in a whole new world, literally! There was sand instead of grass, there was tents instead of houses, and there were booths instead of stores. I was in a whole new place and I did not know I got there. The rug took me to this tent and there was an old lady sitting there. She looked at me and smiled like she knew who I was. “You got told not to use the carpet, but you did anyways,” She laughed. “How’d you know,” I asked. “It has happened before. My name is Cynthia,” She said. “How did I get here and how can I get home,” I replied. “A long time ago, this carpet was cursed. It was cursed by a witch and whoever stepped on it would get taken into this other world. If you wish to go home, then you haveto live 24 hours in this world and see what it is like.” She said. One day in this life wouldn’t be so bad. At around noon tomorrow I could go home. The day went on and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. The next day at around noon I went to go find Cynthia and she wasn’t in the same spot. I looked all over for her and another hour passed before I found her. “Please help me get home,” I cried. “Okay but you have to close your eyes and picture your attic so I can send you back there,” Cynthia said. I thought about the attic and where I found the carpet and how I ended up there. All of a sudden I could feel the carpet moving and when I opened my eyes I was in bed waking up to the sound of my alarm clock and realized this whole thing was a dream, or so I thought.
